When we think about home decoration, we tend to think about the basic big-brand stores: Crate & Barrel, CB2, Pottery Barn, and a few others.
These are a few of the other less-famous options you may find in New York:
I found this store while walking around the other day. “Flying Tiger” is a new store in the city, a Danish design store offering a quirky, ever-changing selection of own-designed products at surprisingly affordable prices. I walked in to check out the store and I ended up buying several things for my kitchen and other usefull stuff to have at home. They were all modestly priced around $2 – 5.
Fishs Eddy is just blocks away from the store I mentioned before. This store is my favorite for gifts as they have cute things about New York, (like mugs, towels, plates) and nice things for a dinner setting.
ABC Carpet & Home
ABC Carpet & Home is bigger and a more expensive than the other options, but if you want to buy something different, innovative, and modern this is definitely the place to go. Here you can find furniture, rugs, lighting, accesories, and even clothes.
